Track Construction & Repair

Road & Rail Services track team performs all types of railroad track and switch construction including:

We can construct welded rail for all types of railroad and industry trackage.

We can also assist you with the conceptual and design requirements of your railroad track project, and handle all of your track repair and industrial track maintenance needs.

Grading & Drainage

We perform all types of track roadbed preparation and railroad surfacing in advance of your track project, equipped with the latest in track resurfacing technology.

We create high-speed main line or industrial track vertical and horizontal geometry with extreme accuracy. Long distance laser allows lining nearly one mile at a segment, to perfectly straight string line geometry.

Advanced surface lift software provides an overall vertical surface profile superior to any other tamping system, giving us a production capacity of over two track miles per day.

Crossings & Platforms

We build solid concrete platform-style railroad crossings with a 10-year warranty. These crossings transfer 100% load bearing to the road base, compared with typical wood tie crossings that permit a maximum 50% weight bearing transfer from wood ties that will eventually fail.

We have installations of this type in active rail lines that are still performing well up to 20 years later!

Our team can reconstruct all types of railroad crossings using concrete, rubber, steel, wood or asphalt highway surfaces. We install continuous poured concrete crossings for heavy industrial applications, and we install and maintain any type of railroad crossing signalization system.

Crane Rail

We install and repair port and industry type crane rail systems using direct fixation and/ or epoxy grouting installation techniques. We construct, maintain and repair all types of industrial rail systems, as well as repairing rail unloading pits and overhead crane rail systems.

We are experts in Port Crane Rail Installations:

  • Direct Fixation – Rail mounted directly to concrete or raised plinth pad.
  • Iron Horse Style Embedded Track – Utilizing the industry standard Iron Horse steel tie/ poured concrete system.
  • Concrete Tub Style Railroad Crossings – All of our 100% concrete tub style railroad crossings with no wood ties come with a 5-year warranty.
