Two Road & Rail Team Members Named to Inaugural Emerging Leaders Class

Two team members of Louisville-based Road & Rail Services, LLC have been selected by the National Industrial Transportation League (NITL) for its inaugural Emerging Leaders Program, a year-long initiative designed to give emerging leaders the necessary tools, knowledge, and resources they need to prepare them for executive advancement and establish themselves as future leaders within their companies, the League and the shipping industry.

Road & Rail Services Assistant Vice President, Industrial Services Rick Stewart, and General Manager, Rufus Trevillion, were named to two of the sixteen spots in the Emerging Leaders Program, which held its initial session in March of this year. The program offers a comprehensive curriculum covering pressing issues, honing essential leadership skills, and providing essential training in presentations and media communication. Participants will engage in interactive workshops, mentorship sessions, and real-world projects, ensuring they are well-equipped to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. The inaugural class consists of six women and ten men, from ages 26 to 51.

“It is essential that we provide our emerging leaders with the knowledge and network necessary to become the leaders of tomorrow,” said Nancy O’Liddy, Executive Director of NITL. “Through this program, we aim to inspire confidence, cultivate innovation, and support personal and professional growth.”

“A key element of our strategic vision is to be intentional in preparing the next generation of leadership,” noted Road & Rail Services President Kevin Brandon. “Their inclusion in the inaugural class of the Emerging Leaders Program recognizes the dynamic leadership that Rick Stewart and Rufus Trevillion have already demonstrated, and their continued potential as leaders within our organization.”
